China Mobile Selects ZTE for DWDM Network

China Mobile selected ZTE for a new optical backbone that will span 521 network nodes covering 18 provinces in Western and Southern China. The 25,000-km network is based on ZTE's ZXWM M900 DWDM platform, which incorporates ultra long-haul transmission technologies like ERZ (Enhanced Return to Zero code) modulation, AFEC (Advanced Forward Error Correction), HOBA (High-power Optical Booster Amplifier) and compensation technologies. Financial terms were not disclosed.
