Hatteras Upgrades its Ethernet Edge Platform

Hatteras Networks announced an upgraded version of its HN400 service deliver platform featuring the ability to support up to eight subtended customers per HN 408 in a CO/RT; delivering up to 5.7 Mbps of symmetrical bandwidth per copper pair - and up to 45 Mbps symmetrical services over eight pairs of bonded copper. Hatteras said this new service flexibility enables carriers to turn up business services to up to eight customers per HN400-U, making it suitable for office parks, multi-tenant units (MTUs) and other densely populated business areas.
