Former Alcatel CTO Joins Overture's Board

Overture Networks, a supplier of converged packet access platforms, appointed Dr. Niel Ransom to its board of directors. Ransom most recently served as Alcatel's chief technology officer before retiring in June 2005. During his tenure at Alcatel, Dr. Ransom led overall product strategy, standardization, corporate research, M&A strategy, and intellectual property.
