Charter Taps Kasenna for VOD Servers

Charter Communications has deployed Kasenna's MediaBase XMP video servers in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Rochester and St. Cloud, Minnesota to support is expanding VOD library of movies, premium channel hits, sports, music and other programs. Charter had previously deployed the MediaBase XMP video servers to upgrade and expand capacity in the Madison, Fond du Lac and Janesville, Wis. markets.

These six deployments follow Charter's installation of MediaBase servers to support the initial rollout of VOD services in Malibu, Calif. last June, using the C-COR nABLE demand management system. Kasenna's cable market partner, N2 Broadband, facilitated these new deployments for Charter.
