Lucent Technologies announced several contracts, totaling $36.3 million, with the U.S. Army to provide network integration and professional services for a communications infrastructure upgrades at U.S. Army bases in Georgia, Hawaii and Germany. The agreements are in support of the Army's Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP), which is focused on upgrading voice and data network infrastructure at Army bases around the world.
In 2003, Lucent announced an earlier group of contracts with the Army valued at $50 million for infrastructure upgrades at Army installations in North America and Asia.
