Qwest and BT Sign Voice Interconnection Agreement

Qwest Communications and BT agreed to exchange international voice telephone traffic. The companies said their interconnection agreement would enhance the quality and reliability of telephone services used by residential and business customers making international long-distance calls between the U.S., the U.K. and other international destinations.

International voice traffic between the UK and the U.S. is estimated to be more than 4 billion minutes of use per year.
