Russian Operator Deploys Marconi for Data/SDH

OAO Bashinformsvyaz, the largest communications services provider in the Russian Republic of Bashkortostan (Bashkirian Republic), has deployed Marconi's next-gen optical technology to launch new data-over-SDH services to its customers. The new service has been enabled by Marconi's next-generation OMS1664 multiservice metro platform, supported by its MS1/4 SDH equipment and ServiceOn network management system.
