Passave Expands its EPON Efforts to Japan

Passave, a start-up offering EPON silicon solutions opened an office in Japan. Passave's said its early ties with major networking OEMs and carriers in Japan have helped drive the company's growth, leading to shipments of more than one million ports to date. With second-generation EPON silicon currently deployed in Japan, Passave's chips are compliant with the recently ratified IEEE 802.3ah standard for Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM). http://www.passave.com
