China Telecom Selects Lucent DWDM for National Backbone

China Telecom selected Lucent Technologies for upgrades to its national optical backbone network.
Under the project, Lucent will provide its WaveStar OLS 1.6T high-capacity DWDM system to build a transmission network spanning over 2,400 kilometers across China. The contracts were awarded as part of China Telecom's National Transmission Backbone Expansion Project. Financial terms were not disclosed. http://www.lucent.com
