Energis Deploys Marconi Multiservice Optical Core

Energis is deploying Marconi's OMS1664 optical multiservice platform in its optical core network. The Energis national core network also uses Marconi's PMA32 DWDM platforms. Financial terms were not disclosed.



The Marconi OMS1664 platform is a high-density, full-connectivity service delivery platform as well as a compact, high-capacity traffic aggregation and switching device. The platform integrates with Marconi's optical core and metro WDM solutions and offers new ITU-approved data enabling capabilities -- fully standardized Generic Framing Procedure (GFP), Link Capacity Adjustment Scheme (LCAS) and Virtual Concatenation (VCAT) solutions. http://www.marconi.com
