UTStarcom Unveils Wireless Access Platform

UTStarcom unveiled its Total Control 2000 platform, a modular, scalable system that provides Packet Data Server Node (PDSN) and Home Agent (HA) CDMA data service. Total Control 2000 is UTStarcom's next generation platform, and is designed to enable service providers to offer a broader range of 3G wireless services and applications. Each shelf of the modular system can support 480,000 PPP sessions for PDSN application or 1,200,000 binding records for HA application. A three-shelf rack of Total Control 2000 can support 1.44 million PPP sessions or 3.6 million binding records. The Total Control 2000 can be deployed standalone or in tandem with UTStarcom's Total Control 800 and/or Total Control 1000 systems. http://www.utstar.com
