The "Convene" platform combines Polycom's existing OCI voice conferencing systems, its MGC video conferencing multipoint control units and its WebOffice personal conferencing portal. Users can access Convene through traditional personal meeting numbers (for voice and/or video conferences) or WebOffice, a personal conferencing portal that includes a desktop interface with enterprise instant messaging and presence for launching ad hoc voice, video and web conferences. The Convene solution supports all conference types: reservationless, scheduled, operator-assisted voice and video conferencing; web conferencing and events.
