Colubris Secures $13 Million for WLAN Access Equipment

Colubris Networks secured $13 million in series C funding for its WLAN access equipment and management systems. Colubris has been shipping products for nearly three years and claims more than 500 customers worldwide, including with Swisscom EURspot, the largest Wi-Fi hotspot provider in Europe, broadband Internet access provider STSN, and Connexion by Boeing. Colubris has strategic partnerships with Juniper Networks, Alcatel and ADC.



The oversubscribed round was led by GrandBanks Capital, with participation by new investor Mid-Atlantic Venture Funds. Existing investors, including Prism Venture Partners and the Development Bank of Canada, also participated in the round.



Colubris Networks has raised $21 million since its inception in 2000. http://www.colubris.com
