New FLAG Cable to Link Egypt and Hong Kong Via India

FLAG Telecom announced plans to build a new 15,000 km, terabit capacity submarine cable system linking Egypt and Hong Kong via India. The new FALCON loop cable system will provide multiple landings throughout the Gulf region. It would also interconnect seamlessly with Reliance's 80,000 km network across India. FALCON will be funded by FLAG, Reliance and commitments from participating operators. The network is expected to enter service in 2005. http://www.flagtelecom.com
