Extreme Networks unveiled its Summit 400-48, a Layer 3, fixed-configuration switching platform with 101 Mpps throughput and 48 10/100/1000 ports. It also features optional 2-port, 10 Gigabit Ethernet uplink, 8 queues of QoS on every port, and 802.1x security. The switch fabric is rated at 160 Gbps.
