American Fiber Systems Selects Nortel's Optical Ethernet

American Fiber Systems, a provider of metro optical networks with some 76,000 miles of deployed fiber, selected Nortel Networks' Optical Ethernet gear for several cities in the U.S. AFS will offer Ethernet point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and Internet access (EIA) services with bandwidth rates from 10 Mbps to Gigabit Ethernet.
