Global Crossing Selects BayPackets to Enhance VoIP Services

Global Crossing has chosen BayPackets' Agility Network Services Platform (NSP) to enable the migration of its Account Code products and services from an existing circuit-switched network to a VoIP network. As part of this migration, Global Crossing expects to deploy BayPackets' Agility Authorization Codes application in early 2004. This will enable Global Crossing's enterprise customers to control service access and/or third-party billing.

BayPackets' Agility NSP is an enhanced services platform that can be deployed as a next-generation Service Control Point (SCP) or as an application server in a carrier's network. The Agility NSP simultaneously enables PSTN connectivity through an SS7 interface and through a SIP interface. The platform's service creation environment enables carriers to develop and deploy their own advanced services. Additionally, because it is an open standards-based platform, the Agility NSP supports deployments of third-party applications. http://www.baypackets.com
