Andrew and PCT Form Broadband Cable Alliance

Andrew Corporation has made an investment in Andes Industries, Inc., and its principal operating subsidiary PCT International, a leading supplier of optical and RF equipment for the broadband cable market. The companies also announced a strategic alliance to provide cable operators (MSOs) with one-stop sourcing of cable, connectors, multimedia taps, digital splitters, amplifiers and optical equipment. Financial terms were not disclosed.


PCT International is a manufacturer of optical equipment and drop products, including fiber optic mini nodes, optical Ethernet transport and distribution products, drop amplifiers, line passives, digital splitters, and compression connectors. Andes is headquartered in Gilbert, Arizona.
