China Telecom Awards New $80 Million Contract for UTStarcom's I-PAS

China Telecom awarded a US$80 million contract to UTStarcom for continued deployments of its IP-based PAS (Personal Access System) equipment in Jiangsu province. After completion of this expansion, UTStarcom's PAS networks will have a capacity of more than three million lines. The contract also includes the sale of approximately 500,000 handset units for use in the region.
