SureWest Cites Revenue Growth for its Triple Play Launch

SureWest Communications, an integrated communications provider based in Roseville, California, reported quarterly revenue of $50.3 million, up 17% year-over-year, and net income of $2.7 million, or $0.19 per share. The carrier has nearly 18,000 DSL subscribers, up by 1,152 for the quarter. Residential broadband "triple-play" voice, data and video revenues climbed to $2.3 million in Q2 from $1.9 million in Q1 2003, as demand remained strong and the pace of installations accelerated. SureWest launched triple-play services in July of 2002.
