HNS Targets Satellite-based Wi-Fi Backhaul

Hughes Network Systems (HNS) began offering a satellite-based Wi-Fi Access service initially targeted at the national RV park and resort market segment as a value-added service opportunity for selected providers. The service uses Hughes' nationwide DIRECWAY broadband satellite service as a backhaul for locally deployed Wi-Fi hotspots.
