UTStarcom is partnering with NEC to provide its broadband solutions in Brazil. The deal is one of several partnerships between the two companies aimed at bringing high-speed voice, data, and video services to Latin America. NEC Brazil has actively participated in the broadband market since the inception of a growth in demand in mid 2002. The company has 35 years in operation in Brazil. The partnership will offer UTStarcom's AN-2000 IB IP-DSLAM platform to provide a "triple play" solution for carriers.
