Shoreline Communications announced that one of the U.S. Navy's Expeditionary Surgical Units (ESU) is using its IP PBX. The mobile medical facility is based on a converged IP network that provides real-time voice and data communications with the U.S. military's Joint Force Commands. Shoreline said its equipment was chosen because it is light, easily configurable, and compatible with the Navy's legacy voice equipment and secure analog phones. The ESU set-up was designed by government IT solutions aggregator GTSI Corp.
