Con Edison Communications, a subsidiary of one of the nation's largest electrical utilities, will expand its CLEC business to offer PowerNet Internet and PowerCall Voice Services to small businesses in New York City. PowerNet Internet Service provides access at rates from 1.5 Mbps to 1 Gbps. PowerCall Voice Service provides T1 or PRI access, local calling and toll-free service. It also includes both domestic and international long distance services. Con Edison already offers business co-location services, DS-1, Ethernet LAN, SONET and wavelength service.
