BTexact Confirms Marconi BXR-48000 Performance

BTexact Technologies, BT's advanced research and technology business, completed performance evaluation of Marconi's BXR- 48000 multiservice switch router. BTexact tested the BXR-48000 over a three-month period to determine that it meets the requirements for deployment in carrier ATM networks. The tests focused on system scalability, redundancy and reliability. Results are posted online. The companies also announced an agreement for BTexact to help Marconi deliver systems integration, consultancy and additional testing services for the BXR-48000, as well as other products in Marconi's Broadband Routing & Switching group.
