Gluon Networks Names New CEO, Readies its Converged Local Exchange

Gluon Networks, a start-up based in Petaluma, California, appointed Shirish Patel as its new president and CEO, replacing Jo Anne Miller, who has stepped down. Patel is the former Founder and CEO of Rapid5 Networks. Gluon is developing a Converged Local Exchange (CLX) platform that integrates functions such as voice and DSL access and switching, CALEA, circuit-to-packet interworking, signaling and transport. Gluon has commenced trials with five rural local exchange providers.
