klocwork Raises $9 Million for Software Intelligence

klocwork, a start-up based in Santa Clara, California and Ottawa, Ontario, raised $9 million in Series B private equity financing to support its "software intelligence" solutions. The company is building automated software that analyzes a system, extracts information directly from the source code, identifies defects, productivity bottlenecks, stability problems, and takes corrective action. U.S. Venture Partners led the round, and Cisco Systems, Inc., and Duke University, became new investors. Pequot Ventures added to its original investment.
