Intel Plans Centrino Brand for its Wireless Mobile Initiative

Intel will use the "Centrino" brand name for its upcoming wireless mobile computing technology, which it plans to introduce in the first half of this year. The technologies represented by the Centrino brand will include a microprocessor (formerly code-named "Banias"), related chipsets and 802.11 (Wi-Fi) wireless networking capability.
